ZACK emailed to say that he saw me mention dual-booting on my Facebook page awhile back and he is now interested in trying it out with Windows 10 and Linux Mint. Zack, thanks for your kind words about the Facebook page. Dual-booting just means running more than one operating system on a single computer. The combination that he wants to try out is a good one too!
The problem Zack ran into is that he tried to install Linux Mint first. That will not work, as Windows is a jealous mistress. She wants the whole thing to herself! You have to install Windows FIRST and Linux Mint SECOND. The Linux Mint installer will see the Windows partition and then ask you what you want to do - replace it or install Linux alongside it.
Here is a link that should help out with this process . . .

YASMEEN has a laptop that is a few years old and starting to run slow. She wants to know how she can speed it up. The most effective way to speed up an older computer is to install a solid-state drive (SSD). Yasmeen has Dell Latitude 14 5000 Series laptop, which will accommodate an SSD. All you have to do is head over to Crucial.com and plug your laptop into their selector. The results page will tell you exactly which of their SSDs are compatible upgrades for you.
I recommend that you go with the Crucial MX300 525GB ($159.99). New Mexico is a bit too far for me to do a house call, so just follow the directions that come with the SSD and CONTACT me if you get stuck. Good luck Yasmeen.
