TARA messaged me on my Facebook page with a question about antivirus. She says she cannot afford to spend any money right now but would still like to have decent protection. She has already tried free antivirus products from AVG and Panda and had bad experiences with both.

Tara, you mentioned that you are an Xfinity customer. The last time I checked, Xfinity offers you a free copy of Norton Antivirus as part of your subscription. All you have to do is log into your Xfinity account and download it.

OWEN is concerned about the harsh blue light coming off his computer monitor. He works from home and spends hours in front of it every day. Is there a way to change the color and intensity at night to something softer/warmer? Yes there is! Download/Install f.lux from HERE. Once you have f.lux installed, just tell it where you are and it will automatically adjust your monitor's brightness and color depending on the time of day.

JACKSON is looking for a reliable and secure password safe. He heard some bad things about LastPass and is looking for an alternative. Jackson, try KeePass instead. It is free, offers lots of features, and is highly customizable. KeePass is also open source, which means the source code is open to the "public." There is a large community of users who can audit the code on an ongoing basis to add features and make sure that the code remains secure. KeePass has been around for a long time and is very well regarded. I think you will be in good hands.
