DARIUS signed up for a free three-day trial at a well-known porn site. He could not find the cancel button and they charged him $29.99 for a full month after the trial ended. Help!


I will NOT name the porn site here, as I do not want to give them free advertising. They actually use a third-party billing company. You must contact CCBill in order to cancel your membership, not the porn site.


Remember, these subscription Web sites are counting on you to (a) forget to cancel and/or (b) not know how to cancel. When you sign up, you will usually receive an email from the billing company. Use the information in that email to cancel the subscription RIGHT AWAY. They will still give you the free trial and you will not be billed when it is over.

NICOLUS bought a Windows laptop from his local big box store. He wants to dual-boot with Linux and is looking for the License Key so that he can reinstall Windows 10 if something goes wrong. How/Where can he find the Key?


Actually, you do not have to bother with License Keys anymore. That laptop came with Windows preinstalled and has a Windows 10 Digital Entitlement. If you ever need to reinstall Windows, then Microsoft's Activation Servers should recognize the laptop based on the hardware fingerprint and automatically authenticate it. However, if this process fails then you can get help directly from Microsoft as follows . . .
