PRESTON picked up a "mint condition" unlocked LG Stylo 6 for $25 at a yard sale. He bought it because of the large size and the great price. But is it a good phone?
First, we confirmed that the phone is indeed unlocked. The Stylo 6 came out in May 2020 and is a good LARGE FORM-FACTOR smart phone. The only potential downside to this purchase is that LG announced last year that it is getting out of the phone making business. Based on this, you may have trouble getting support directly from them if anything goes wrong. However, I have not heard/read about any problems with this particular phone, so I would not worry too much.

EVAN has had multiple problems with his Windows laptop. Unfortunately he is in rural Florida, so a house call by me is out of the question. Is Geek Squad OK to use?
I cannot recommend Geek Squad. Over the years, I have been called in too many times to clean up mistakes that they made. Try Nerds On Site instead. I used to work for them and most of their Nerds that I had contact with seemed legit. However, bear in mind that I left them 14 years ago. I do not know what they are like today. Good luck!

KYRA AND ZACK have 300+ movies, 5,000+ MP3s, and 12,000+ photos between them. They would like to set up a Home Media Server to manage and stream all that stuff to their computers, phones, and TVs. Any suggestions?
Give Plex a try. As recently as a year ago, I set up a Plex server and it worked flawlessly for the most part. The key to making it painless is to review and follow their advice about (a) file formats, (b) naming files and (c) organizing them into folders BEFORE you install/set up Plex. Good luck and enjoy!

ROB AND DENISE asked if it is bad to keep their desktop PC on all the time?
For modern computers, it does not matter very much. This is especially true if you go into the options and set it to sleep or hibernate when it is not being used.
