RAY is hesitant to use Cloud services like Dropbox or iCloud because of privacy concerns. How do you stop anyone from going through your data?

If privacy is really important to you, then I recommend that you secure your data with a tool like VeraCrypt BEFORE you upload it to the Cloud. Anyone who tries to access the data on the other end will see just an "encrypted ball" that they cannot read. You do not have to go crazy with the settings either - AES encryption with SHA-256 hash is plenty.

JENNIFER followed my advice and started using Drive Snapshot to back up her family's Windows 10 desktop. She wants to know if you can restore a drive image to a different computer?

Short Answer: MAYBE, but I do NOT recommend it.

When Windows is installed on a computer, it needs drivers to talk to the specific combination of parts in that machine. So each Windows install is customized to work with the computer it is installed on. If you try to restore that drive image to a different computer, Windows will find itself dealing with a totally new set of parts. Most of the existing drivers and settings will not work on the new machine. It is possible to "massage" it and get things working but there are so many things that can go wrong that I say do not do it. As far as I know, Microsoft does not support that either.

FYI - Drive Snapshot has a feature called DiskImage Explore that will allow you to "pluck" individual files out of a disk image. So you could restore just your personal data (e.g. documents, music, pictures) to a different computer that way.

GEMEL asked if he can use a 720p HDTV in place of a computer monitor?

Yes, you can. However, in my experience it will strain your eyes after a while. An HDTV will also not look as good as a dedicated computer monitor unless the screen is big and the resolution is super high - e.g. 1080p or 4K. I recommend you stick to using computer monitors.
