NATHAN AND SAMANTHA want to start streaming their Sunday church services on the Internet. What service should they use?

YouTube is the 800lb gorilla in this space. It is free, reliable, and the video is very high quality. You already have the camera and microphone, so just sign the church up for a new YouTube account. Then go HERE for help getting started

JOHN is starting a small business. He set up a home office in his backyard shed and wants to be able to connect to the house wi-fi but the signal is very weak. It is only 67 feet line-of-sight between the two buildings.

John, you mentioned that your house has a stucco exterior. I suspect that you have wire mesh underneath that stucco. The wire mesh is acting as a Faraday cage and blocking the wi-fi signal. All you need to do is get a wireless access point and mount it high on the outside of the house. Then connect it directly to your router. It will take the house Internet and broadcast it out to the shed where you can connect with your laptop.

Generally, any time you use a wireless access point, it cuts the connection speed in half. However, that will not matter much since you are working with a Verizon FiOS connection (up to 940 Mbps). You will still have plenty of speed to do whatever you need to do. Congratulations and good luck!

JEFF is looking for a security camera recommendation. He wants to set up a couple of inexpensive wi-fi cameras to keep tabs on his pets while he is at work. I actually purchased a really good security camera a while back for less than $30. Here you go . . .
